Seven Surprising Reasons for Obesity
Scientists' research shows that there is no specific secret formula for losing weight. The less calories a person consumes, the more body size decreases.
1. Do not follow the schedule when serving food
Researchers at Cornell University in the United States surveyed people at a restaurant buffet and found that only 33% of obese customers walked around the entire buffet, saw everything on offer, and then ate for themselves, while 71% of customers Non-obese do this. So, before you start cooking for yourself, first spin the wheel and visit all the buffets so that you do not overeat for yourself.
2. Lack of sleep
A study from the University of Colorado says that it is true that temporary sleep deprivation can increase the body's metabolism, but people who sleep only 5 hours a day for a week eat much more than those who do. They are accustomed to sleeping 9 hours a night. During the study, people who slept briefly gained an average of one kilogram.
3. Insufficient rest
Stress causes many people to eat more. The American Psychological Association conducted a referendum in 2011 and found that 40 percent of adults overeat or eat unhealthy (and therefore obese) foods when they are under stress.
4. Excess in excess
Hamburger with cheese on Korean bread? Milk concoction with ice cream and peanut butter and meat? Never before has there been an opportunity to overeat unhealthy and overly fatty foods. Reject all this.
5. Addictive foods
Fatty and salty chips, or sour and garlic chips, when you put one of them in your mouth, you can hardly stop. Fat, sugar and salt are addictive ingredients that make any high-calorie, low-value junk food delicious.
6. Use straws for carbonated drinks
The Washington Post recently reported that straws used for carbonated beverages have become thicker since the 1980s. Their diameter has increased from 5 mm in 1980 to more than 7 mm today. The larger the diameter of the straw, the larger the volume of sugar that passes through it. A typical fizzy drink these days has a volume of 355 ml and is dissolved in 8 to 13 teaspoons of sugar.
7. Small breakfast, big dinner
A study shows that obese women who eat a large breakfast, lunch and a small dinner lose weight more than twice as fast as women who consume the same amount of calories in 24 hours but more at dinner.
An old American proverb says, eat breakfast with a king, have lunch with a prince, and have dinner with a novice.
